A blind CV is one that hides your personal information from recruiters to avoid hiring bias based on your race, gender, or age. To make a blind CV:
- replace your name with your job title
- erase your address
- remove your online profiles
- cut your photo
- eliminate dates (e.g., your graduation year and start/end dates in your work experience section)
Usually, you’ll only submit a blind CV if the application requirements specifically say to do so (this is called blind hiring). Some employers may reject your application if your CV doesn’t clearly show how many years of experience you have or if not including your name makes your application seem impersonal.
