There’s no specific limit to how big a CV should be. Your CV file size depends on many factors, such as the file format in which you’ve saved your CV and how many pages your CV is. A CV should be 1–2 pages in length depending on your work experience.
The typical file size for a 1–2 page CV saved as a PDF is below 300 KB. Unusual fonts, style graphics, and images (such as a headshot for a select few CVs, like an acting CV) can all cause your CV file size to be larger than normal.
Check allowable file sizes before you make a CV and upload it to online job application portals. And consider compressing your CV when sending it as an email attachment if you’re worried employers won’t be able to open it quickly.
