You write Distinction* on your CV as you would the grades for any other vocational qualification.
Put Distinction* in parenthesis after the name of the BTEC that you received the grade for. Do the same for Distinction or Merit grades.
Here’s an example:
Gateway College | London, 2019 – 2021
Business BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (Distinction*)
Distinction* is the highest grade you can be awarded when you successfully complete a BTEC qualification.
When you make a CV, you should also specify what kind of BTEC you were awarded so the employer knows what level of education you completed:
BTEC Equivalent Qualifications
BTEC | Equivalent Qualification |
---|---|
BTEC levels 4–5 | First and second year of an undergraduate degree |
BTEC level 3 | 1–2 A Levels |
BTEC level 2 | 4 GCSEs (A*–C) |
