A non-speculative cover letter is a cover letter written for a specific job opportunity.
Non-speculative cover letters are also referred to as job application letters.
When writing a cover letter for a specific position, there are a few things you should remember to do:
- Specify the job you’re applying for and where you found the opportunity
- Illustrate how you’re qualified to do the job (e.g., by highlighting relevant experience, noteworthy achievements, technical skills, etc.)
- Explain why you’d be a good fit for the specific company
- Encourage the employer to contact you for an interview
